Identifying the difference between C-12-108, C-12-110, and C-12-111
ignition locks:
There are 3 different generations of ignition locks, difference in the black face cap which is also the transponder receiver. Generation 1 (C-12-108) and Generation 2 (C-12-110) have the small size caps which have different design connectors on the top. Generation 3 (C-12-111) has a face cap with a larger base. Our applications are based on the original VW/Audi parts information. If there is any doubt use the illustrations below to verify which one is needed for the car that you are working on.
